This is a great book about what it was like when white people had black maids. the black maids were treated not with equal rights which made the maids have to be care full and could not do anything they were not supposed to. this book shows how much this world has changed from back when they still had segregation. This is a great book and movie. i recommend anybody to read this.

I enjoyed this book because it shows how people evolved from the 1900's to the present. Many people have learned from this experience and have made the world a better place. I would recommend this book to someone who is really interested with history in the 1900's. I would rate this book a 10.
